The 22-Point Performance Inspection · what we actually check
We test, measure, and record every number — we don't eyeball it. The full list: refrigerant charge, suction/discharge pressures, superheat & subcool, capacitor microfarads, contactor condition, line voltage, amp draws on compressor & fan motors, temperature split across the coil, static pressure, blower wheel condition, condensate pan & line, coil cleanliness, filter condition, thermostat calibration, defrost cycle (heat pump), reversing valve operation (heat pump), disconnect condition, electrical grounding, low-voltage wiring, safety switches, refrigerant line insulation, and outdoor pad/level.
Why ACs Break on the Hottest Days · the science of summer failures
When the system runs hardest, weak parts fail first. Marginal capacitors, slightly low refrigerant, dirty coils — all of it is survivable on a 72° May afternoon. But when it's 92° and the system has been running 10 hours, those same parts cook. The tune-up is about finding the marginal stuff while there's time to deal with it.
How Booking Works · 3 simple steps
1. Submit the form above. 2. We call back same day to pick a time. 3. A Varsity tech shows up, does the inspection (~1 hour), and emails your written report before leaving.
What if something needs fixing? · no pressure, ever
We write it in the report with a flat-rate price. You decide if and when. The $67 covers the inspection whether you repair anything or not — no pressure, no scare tactics, no mystery upsells.
